Enjoying nira nipah in Kuala Sanglang....



               I heard from friends about this place..Kg Tanah Timbul in Kg Sanglang.A man named En Kipli grows thousands of nipah palms for a purpose.to get the nira and sell it to people who love the taste of nira.

             
                    Menyusuri pantai Sg Baru and Sg Padang before reaching the place.Air tengah surut..still breathtakingly beautiful.
                                                           
                    Dulu2 nak tengok pokok nipah mesti ke kawasan air payau paya2..takut lintah, takut ular..tapi di sini nipah nampak macam pokok hiasan taman..cantik.the surrounding area was swept clean.
                 Suka boleh pegang pelepah pokok nipah..tak ada langsung daun kering..semua di cantas dan di kumpul diluar pagar.
  


                                            Orang boleh bersila di sini sambil minum nira..

                               Pondok2 kecil menanti pengunjung..comei kan ?

             The youngest 3 year old daughter of En Kipli...non stop talking.kept on asking me..lipstick tu colour apa..I said 'merah '.Then tanya lagi..tanya lagi..

                  
                  
                   Ni dia nira yang manis...could only drink a few sips..sugar is not added at all in the drink.its the original taste of nira..still too sweet for me....


         I wish I could be here longer..the surrounding flashed some sad memories..way back in the 70s..


                    Buah nipah di depan mata. I was able to touch the fruits again after more than 3 decades..The owner promised to call when the fruits are ready to be plucked..


                     En Kipli the man who developed this place into this beautiful site must be a hardworking man..the place is so well taken care of.

                      Bersihnya... tanpa pembantu, semua di buatnya sendiri..really salute him.


                                                 Hammocks here and there..


                     Ni la cara orang dapat nira.Lepas buahnya di tebang, satu bekas plastic di letak pada tangkai buah nipah.Nira keluar dari situ dan di tadah.. Kalau di peram jadi cuka nipah.peram lama lagi jadi tuak..boleh mabuk ha ha..


            Went back happily..cuma sayang sekali tak dapat makan buah nipah..sob sob..

    Its been a long time I thought of singing a song untuk kawan2 yang singgah di blog ni.hasrat tercapai last few days. Masa tu rumah gelap pekat. Power failure.     My son was sittng nearby, so dalam gelap tu di terangi cahaya lilin I sang a song.My favourite song yang I used to sing masa dulu2. teacher pening la macam ni..
