sembilang Kuala Snglang..
Ada kawan2 nak belanja makan gulai ikan sembilang di Kuala Sanglang sempadan Perlis Kedah.. Sampai saja air mati..tak naik tak surut...hutan bakau menghijau di sepanjang pantai.
The mudskippers bersuka ria ..saw ketam bersepit satu bergurau senda saling kejar mengejar..
Bot-bot nelayan tersadai di tepian..beberapa anak muda , nelayan maybe dok check boat masing2, without shirts on, their bodies tanned under the hot sun...shouting to each other, saling usik mengusik..
Nelayan Kuala Sanglang antara ratusan nelayan seperti banyak di tempat lain yang hidup kais pagi makan pagi. Seorang dua duduk makan di restoran yang sama, sambil menghisap rokok daun....
Sembilang masih di atas api, sambil tunggu tengok nelayan membaiki pukat .Life is slow here, tak berhambat macam di bandar besar. Outside the small wooden houses the women brought out fish on the racks...ish banyak sungguh ikan kering, ada gelama, kembung, and of course kedai2 kecik jual home made belacan...
Ada orang tu tak boleh celik mata..seriau..ha ha ha .matahari kian tinggi. Sembilang masih dalam periuk.Di depan mata ada pulut sambal dan pulut inti..tak makan pun.nak tunggu sembilang jugak.
Since I was a little girl my father tak bagi makan sembilang sebab katanya ikan sembilang hidup di tepian pantai..and makan apa saja yang di buang dari rumah2 nelayan di sepanjang pantai tu including xxxxxx. oooops..
When sembilang was at last served on the table..frust sekali.sebab bila di jemput isinya dalam masih merah...nampak sangat sembilang tu dari peti ais..bila dimasak mengejut dalam nya tak masak betul...ish. rugi mai jauh2 makan nasi sejemput.
Kawan2 bedal jugak...on the way home beli laksa Kuala Sanglang, buat isi perut yang masih tak kenyang...
laaaa...apa kes? kedai makan tepi sungai tapi ikan dari peti ais? ish ish ish...tak patut sungguh na? tu kalau ketahuan kat org kesihatan tu mmg salah besar dah, sbb antara perkara besar yg dilarang dilakukan oleh penjual makanan ialah memasak ikan yg masih beku....

mmg la dah takdir kan, tp kecuaian seumpama itu mampu dielakkan...takziah kpd keluarga mangsa...sedih!
yes Sweetie, memang isi msih merah di dalam, tak trgamak nk suap, saya makan gulai ikan kembung saja...Yang kat Kedah tu bermula dari ayam masak merah..someone said ayam tu dah berbau sebelum di masak lagi..

Aina, saya tk brapa suka semilang sbab ayah kata dia suka makan xxxxxx.tapi memang la bila buat gulai dok melinang dalam mangkuk trcabar juga iman.

I love seafood especially fish, but for some reason or other will avoid eating ikan sembilan...dia ada duri. Also fresh water fish like haruan, ikan betok, sepat....only one I'll eat is udang galah.
I used to travel to Kedah very often old days, as well was involved in that Dam, and Tower lines project dekat Alor Star.
I love the nasi lemak at Sungei Petani....
What camera you use to take the pics here? Very clear and sharp. Well taken too.
And my compliments to the person who took that pic of you.
If I was there da tentu nak chepat chari kedai florist...beli satu bunga rose, ha ha ha.

DeleteAs i told earlier dulu my late father tak bagi kami makan ikan semilang ni sebab ikan ni makan semua including taik orang pun dia makan...thats why i just tried a pinch of the flesh tapi refused to eat much sebab the thought of wat my father said tu mai balik he he..
i guna camera nikon yang murah saja..maybe in the bright sunlight memang gmbar nmpak sharp.tmpat gelap I tk tau adjust2 semua kelam ha ha.

Pulut inti and pulut sambal tu memang tak nak mkn sebab I dok aim nak mkan gulai smbilang tu..tiba2 tak masak didalam, flesh merah...rasa nak muntah masa tu juga..tapi tahan sebab kawan2 lain berselera makan..

tapi kadang2 cheq pejam mata jer makan...

I just know very few fish yang penting2 aje. so kalau teacher tak cerita about why your father seboleh2 tak bagi teacher makan ikan sembilang...mmg sampai bila2 pun I tak tau rupanya begitu. hik hik hik
ReplyDeleteorg Kola Perlis sndiri cakap ikan smbilang tu makan macam2.kita paham la kan.tapi ada sekali I buat asam pedas laku juga habis seperiuk, including my mother she didnt knw it was sembilang, sebab bagi bahagian tengah n kaki, bahagian kepala dia tk nmpak.but when it mixed well with curry powder, the taste was nyum nyum tau.kalau buat gulai msti pekat , kalau masak hari ni makan esok lagi sedap giler..dia dah sebati dgn kuah curry tu.sebab tu buat gulai sembilang orang jarang rampaikan dgn sayur lain sprti timun ke, tomato, or kundur, sebab isi dia saja dah cukup sedap..

ReplyDeleteI have 2 nikon cameras, one a 14 year old Nikon F-601 SLR film camera with a 35mm-135mm special portrait lens....as well a Yashica Electro 65 SLR film camera
which is 42 years old, still very good.I use this one as a backup camera to my above Nikon when taking portraits of women...my hobby, portraiture.
I make women, or mature women beautiful thru my camera lens.
Then for fooling around I have my Nikon CoolPix S1100pj pocket digital camera.
By the way, I added in some pics at my pondok after you drove home in your BMW...all taken with this pocket Nikon.

A lot of photograph competitions have been won by people using h/phone cameras, even those murah disposable cameras...against others with $12,000 Mamiya Medium format cameras. Or Nikon DSLR costing $$$$$!
So, jangan malu you bring out your camera.
Hah! Bila I pull out my 40 year old film camera Yashica Electro 65, most people never seen or heard of this camera.
But the photographs still very good.
Just remember, whatever you want to take a shot, study, look around, take your time...because that moment in time will not come back again.
And have fun.
