anak murid mai melawat...

Suddenly last Saturday he called me..bekas anak murid saya dulu. Promised nak pi breakfast sama2 on Sunday morning, tiba2 something turned up, dia tak boleh mai. At 930+ he called nak mai rumah..I baru balik market .
Tiba2 dia dah ada depan mata..Perut saya meneru-neru (kata orang Perlis ). Dia bawa buah tangan ..seraga buah2an termasuk my favourite buah salak...
Saya tengok dia dengan mata berkaca..sedih, seronok, sayu semua bercampur baur. Alangkah lama masa kami terpisah..

Dia lain ...jauh berubah dari dulu..cara berpakaian, the way he caries himself, cara bertutur, tingkah laku..he is no more the boy I used to know..

Kalau saya jadi mak ayah dia alangkah bangga dan sejuk hati saya..he has become a fine young man..
Dia sangat menghormati orang tua, apatah lagi bekas cikgu dia..saya rasa diperlakukan macam mak dia sendiri..

We had lunch..I saw how he enjoyed his food, air asam, sambal belacan, ikan keli goreng, sayur labu dan peria , kerabu taugeh dengan perut. Makanan kampung yang simple tapi sangat membangkit selera.

Maka bersembanglah kami . I noticed kematangannya sebagai lelaki dewasa, bercakap pasal politik, about his career, about his family...

Dulu masa kanak2 selalu bertoje ( cakap Perlis for rajin mengusik ) anak perempuan saya Faten yang 3 tahun younger than him.

Seronok depa bercerita tentang zaman kanak2..Saya tukang gelak..

Doa saya dia akan terus berjaya dalam setiap aspek kehidupannya, moga menjadi anak kebanggaan keluarga  .

Bila dia melabuhkan dirinya into his car to drive home, I pray he would come again sometime to visit me..with assalamualaikum, he drove away.. I stepped into my living room dengan hati kosong dan mata kembali berkaca..

We posed sebelum keluar lunch.

  4. Hello IndaMarya, I always admire your warmth, sincerity, kindness and generosity to people around or with you. I enjoyed reading this very heartwarming posting....always with a kind word or an appreciation....of someone.
And yes, there young people today who exceed everyone's expectations. He looks the kind of boy any mother would love to have.

When people come into your life for a SEASON, it is because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn. They may bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.
They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season.
You have a nice day, simpan satu lagu dalam hati. Stay beautiful.
    Lee.

  8. Just to share with u all. This is wat this wonderful young man wrote on his status on FB this morning about his visit to see me last Sunday.

"Just a few days ago, I had the opportunity to visit my dear Cikgu who taught me English in my primary years, and whom I hadn't actually met for over a decade. The epitome of a remarkable educator, that's what she truly is. So loving yet no-nonsense, so knowledgeable yet so accommodating, so classy yet so down-to-earth. On that note, Happy Teachers' Day to you and to all my teachers and lecturers, and to all my friends in the noble vocation. I feel so privileged to have known all of you in my lifetime, and I know I can never thank you enough for all the beautiful things you've done over the years. Salute! "

    It left me speechless dear...adoi.

  9. Cikgu IndaMarya....congrats "JASA MU DI KENANG" . On this special Teachers day here is something from Uncle AL to you and all teachers......
Who greets you with a smile even in the early morning? Who acknowledges you in the midst of a crowd? Who gives you a smile that means the world? Who offers you help, advice, and guidance when times are rough? Who always has an empty shoulder for you to lean on? Who listens to every pointless story you have to tell? Who makes a boring subject fun and interesting? Who likes you for who you are on the inside and not the outside? Who teaches you all you need to know to succeed not only academically but in life?
    YES..TEACHERS.
They hold your hand when you are scared, they are your map when you've lost your way, they are your sunshine when you've reached a goal. They are so much more then they are said to be. Everybody who is anybody was taught how to be somebody by a TEACHER."
A teacher is not limited to the constricting walls of a classroom, nor to the monotonous worksheets that are passed about their staff room. Teachers always long to nurture their student as children, their children, desiring to teach each individual indifferently, with the greatest of care and patience.
Teachers always try their best, knowing even that may not be enough. Teachers always give it their all and be satisfied, but not to the point that they no longer strive to raise the standards further. Laugh, cry, grieve and sigh but be grateful in all circumstances realizing there is always someone behind the scenes who appreciates your efforts and is inspired by your perseverance.
As a teacher, satisfaction is minimal and gratification eccentric but admiration is manifested among those who are taught.
You motivate us as the future of this country to try, and when we fall, to pick up with more force than before. Please continue.
For you have taught us much more than about Maths,English,Science, literature or History. You have taught us about life. So yes, you have succeeded."
HAPPY TEACHERS DAY from Uncle AL. Jom pekena pasembur kat Gurney Drive my treat cikgu IndaMarya.

    1. Uncle AL, bila baca yr comment, saya rasa baguih nya saya pilih jadi cikgu kan? you make me feel at the top of the world..nun tinggi terapung2 terbang di langit nu..
Yes saya dah ajaq depa more than English Language, I have taught them about life itself, nurture them to be good human beings...and in return I got the satisfaction when I leave the classroom, knowing I have passed on wat even their mothers dont tell them sometimes..Then when I heard of their achievement in life..seronok tak terkira, tak kisah ada yang ingat kita atau tidak, kalau ada maka itu adalah satu bonus for me..

Life is such kan Uncle AL.tapi saya tak mau jadi lilin yang membakar diri untuk kebahagiaan org lain macam org selalu kata tu, saya nak jadi pelita sntiasa menyala..habis minyak boleh tambah lagi kan? he he.
Thanx Uncle AL. sure nanti jgn terkejut when I suddenly appear dkat Gurney Drive tu..bukan setakat pasembur saja, you have to spend me kueteow penang and mee rebus sekali tau.
